Bug Reports and Feature Requests#
Please report any bugs you find in the latest BORIS version through the GitHub repository.
Before reporting a bug, please:
- Check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section.
- Check whether the issue has already been reported on GitHub.
- Delete the configuration file and try again (see configuration file).
Remember to indicate:
- your operating system
- your operating system version
- the computer you are using (model, RAM, etc.)
- the BORIS version you are using
- information about the media file you are coding, if any. See
Tools > Media file information
Provide all the information needed to reproduce the bug, such as a detailed procedure or a screen recording.
In case of a crash, please send the boris_error.log file generated in your home directory immediately after the crash and before restarting BORIS:
Linux:
/home/YOUR_PROFILE_NAME/boris_error.log
Microsoft-Windows:
c:\Users\YOUR_PROFILE_NAME\boris_error.log
